Does merino wool itch?
Merino wool fibres are much finer than ordinary sheep's wool, so a merino wool knit feels soft against the skin and generally doesn't itch. Most ME knit pieces are 100% merino wool, and the exact material of each product is listed on its product page.
Where is ME knit knitwear made?
All ME knit knitwear is made in Estonia on professional hand-operated knitting machines. The knitwear is designed by Irja Lembra and made by the knitwear company Top Kudum.
How do I care for a merino wool knit?
Merino wool doesn't need washing often, because it breathes and doesn't absorb odours. Usually it's enough to hang the knit out to air. If it does need washing, hand wash it in cool water with a wool detergent, soak it for no more than 10 minutes, don't wring it, and dry the knit flat on a towel. Don't hang the knit on a hanger, as wool stretches easily. You'll find detailed instructions on the Care Guide page.
What should I do if my knit starts to pill?
Merino wool products can develop light pilling. The bobbles are easy to remove with a special comb or a fabric shaver.
Which size should I choose?
Many of our designs are one size with a relaxed fit, so they suit different body shapes. Each product page has a size table (length, width and sleeve in centimetres). If in doubt, write to us and we'll help you choose a size.
How quickly will my order arrive, and how much is delivery?
We send in-stock items within 1–2 business days of receiving payment. In Estonia the parcel reaches the parcel locker (Omniva, DPD or SmartPosti) in 1–3 business days, and delivery is free. Delivery to Latvia and Lithuania costs 4.90 € and to Finland 6.90 €, and it is free on orders from 100 €. Pre-order accessories are sent within 5 business days, and pre-order clothing and throws within 10 business days. Custom-made items are sent within 30 days at the latest.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes, we ship to parcel lockers in Latvia, Lithuania and Finland. The parcel usually arrives in 2–5 business days. Delivery costs 4.90 € to Latvia and Lithuania and 6.90 € to Finland, and it is free on orders from 100 €. We don't ship to other countries at the moment.
Can I return or exchange an item?
Yes, you have 14 days from receiving the goods to return an item. The item must be unworn, with its tags and in its original packaging. We cover the return shipping. Which payment methods can I use?
You can pay with a Visa or Mastercard card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments.
Can I place a custom order?
Yes. You can choose the material, colour, size and design, and we'll make the knit to your wishes. Read more on the Custom Orders page.
Does an ME knit piece make a good gift?
Yes. A merino wool hat, scarf, mittens or sweater is a practical, long-lasting gift for a woman or a man, for example for Father's Day or Christmas.
Where does your merino wool come from?
Our merino wool comes from mulesing-free farms that follow high animal welfare standards. With the right care, a merino wool knit lasts for years.
