Last updated: 05.11.2025
The owner of the online shop meknit.com (hereinafter the Online Shop) is ME KNIT OÜ (registry code 14385593), located at Ujula tn 1A, 51008 Tartu, Estonia, email info.meknit@gmail.com, telephone +372 5615 3533.
The Online Shop runs on the Shopify e-commerce platform. Shopify provides the Online Shop with a technical solution and hosting, but the sales contract is always concluded between the Buyer and ME KNIT OÜ.
The products sold in the Online Shop are made mainly by TOP KUDUM OÜ. ME KNIT OÜ acts as the operator of the online shop and as the seller that concludes the sales contract with the customer and arranges the packing and delivery of orders.
VALIDITY OF THE SALES CONTRACT; PRODUCT AND PRICE INFORMATION
These terms and conditions of sale apply to the purchase of goods from the Online Shop.
The prices of the products sold in the Online Shop are shown next to the products. A delivery charge is added to the price. All prices of goods sold in the Online Shop are in euros (EUR).
The delivery charge depends on the Buyer's location in Estonia and on the delivery method. The delivery charge is shown to the Buyer when the order is placed.
Information about the goods (including their main characteristics, material, care instructions, etc.) is provided in the Online Shop directly alongside the goods. The actual shade of the products may differ slightly from that shown on screen (due to different screens, lighting, etc.).
PLACING AN ORDER
To order goods, add the desired products to the cart. To place the order, fill in the required fields, choose a suitable delivery method for the products and confirm the order.
After the order has been confirmed, the amount payable is displayed on the screen, which can be paid securely using the following payment methods:
– Estonian bank links (the selection as shown at checkout);
– Visa / Mastercard card payments;
– Apple Pay and Google Pay (where available in the cart);
– PayPal payments (where available in the cart).
Payments are processed by MONTONIO FINANCE OÜ. Payment takes place outside the Online Shop in a secure environment – when paying by bank link, in the secure environment of the relevant bank. ME KNIT OÜ (the Seller) has no access to the customer's bank or credit card details.
Important: when paying by bank link, be sure to click the “Return to merchant” button on the bank's page.
The contract (sales contract) enters into force when the amount payable has been received in the Online Shop's bank account.
The owner of the Online Shop, ME KNIT OÜ, is the controller of personal data and transfers the personal data necessary for making payments to MONTONIO FINANCE OÜ.
If the ordered goods cannot be delivered because they are out of stock or for any other reason, the Buyer will be informed of this as soon as possible and the amount paid (including the delivery costs) will be refunded without delay, and no later than 14 days after the notification is sent.
DELIVERY
Goods are sent within the Republic of Estonia.
The Buyer has the following options for receiving the goods, as shown at checkout, for example:
– parcel lockers (e.g. Omniva, Itella Smartpost, DPD, etc.);
– courier service to a specified address.
The shipping costs of the goods are borne by the Buyer, and the relevant price information is shown next to the delivery method at checkout.
Shipments within Estonia generally reach the destination specified by the Buyer within 1–7 working days of the sales contract entering into force, unless a longer delivery time is indicated for the product (for example, for pre-order or custom-made products).
In exceptional cases (for example, supply difficulties, seasonal peaks, disruptions at a logistics partner), the Online Shop has the right to deliver the goods within up to 30 calendar days.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
After receiving the order, a Buyer who is a consumer (a natural person who buys goods for purposes outside their trade, business or profession) has the right to withdraw from a contract concluded in the online shop within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which the Buyer, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by the Buyer, acquires physical possession of the goods.
The right of withdrawal does not apply if the Buyer is a legal person.
In order to exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal, the ordered goods must not be used in any way other than as necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, in the way that would be permitted when trying out goods in an ordinary physical shop.
If the goods have been used for purposes other than those necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, or show signs of use or wear, the Online Shop has the right to reduce the amount refunded in proportion to the diminished value of the goods.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, a notice of withdrawal from the purchase must be sent to info.meknit@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving the goods. In the notice, please state at least: the order number, the Buyer's name, the product(s) being returned and the reason for the return (stating the reason is not mandatory, but it helps us improve our service).
The costs of returning the goods (including the transport costs related to the return) are borne by the Buyer, unless the reason for the return is that the product being returned does not correspond to what was ordered (e.g. a wrong or defective product).
The Buyer must return the goods within 14 days after submitting the notice or provide proof that they have handed the goods over to the carrier within that period.
On receipt of the returned goods, the Online Shop will refund to the Buyer without delay, and no later than 14 days after receiving the notice of withdrawal, all payments received from the Buyer under the contract, including the amount paid for the goods and the initial delivery costs to the extent that they correspond to the cheapest standard delivery method offered by the Online Shop.
The Online Shop may withhold the refund until it has received back the goods that are the subject of the contract or until the Buyer has supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
If the Buyer has expressly chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method offered by the Online Shop, the Online Shop is not required to reimburse the consumer for costs exceeding the cost of the standard delivery method.
The Online Shop has the right to withdraw from the sales transaction and to demand the return of the goods from the Buyer if, due to an error, the price of the goods in the Online Shop was stated significantly below their market price.
RIGHT TO SUBMIT A CLAIM
The Online Shop is liable for any non-conformity of the goods sold to the Buyer with the terms of the contract, or any defect, that existed at the time the goods were handed over and that becomes apparent within two years of the goods being handed over to the Buyer. During the first year after the goods are handed over to the Buyer, it is presumed that the defect already existed at the time of handover. The burden of rebutting this presumption lies with the Online Shop.
When a defect becomes apparent, the Buyer has the right to contact the Online Shop within two months at the latest, by sending an email to info.meknit@gmail.com or by calling +372 5615 3533.
The Online Shop is not liable for defects that arose after the goods were handed over to the Buyer.
If goods bought from the Online Shop have defects for which the Online Shop is liable, the Online Shop will repair or replace the defective goods. If the goods can be neither repaired nor replaced, the Online Shop will refund to the Buyer all payments made under the sales contract.
The Online Shop will respond to a complaint submitted by a consumer within 15 days, in writing or in a format that can be reproduced in writing.
DIRECT MARKETING AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
The Online Shop uses the personal data entered by the Buyer only to process the order (including making payments, delivering the goods, handling returns and resolving claims) and to send the goods to the Buyer.
The Online Shop transfers personal data to carriers in order to deliver the goods to the Buyer, and also to MONTONIO FINANCE OÜ.
The Online Shop sends newsletters and offers to the Buyer's email address only if the Buyer has expressed a wish to receive them by entering their email address on the website and confirming that they wish to receive direct marketing communications.
The Buyer may at any time unsubscribe from offers and newsletters sent by email by following the instructions in the relevant email or by writing to us at info.meknit@gmail.com.
Further details on the processing of personal data (including Shopify's role in processing personal data) are set out in the Online Shop's privacy policy, available at https://meknit.com.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If the Buyer has any claims regarding the Online Shop, they must be sent by email to info.meknit@gmail.com or made by telephone on +372 5615 3533.
If the Buyer and the Online Shop are unable to resolve the dispute by agreement, the Buyer (if they are a consumer) may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Committee. The rules of procedure can be consulted and applications submitted here: https://komisjon.ee. The Consumer Disputes Committee has jurisdiction to resolve disputes arising from contracts concluded between the Buyer and the Online Shop. The examination of the Buyer's complaint by the Committee is free of charge.
The Buyer also has the right to use the European Union's consumer dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
These terms and conditions of sale are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia. Where the law of the Buyer's country of residence provides for mandatory rules that are more favourable to the consumer, the law of that country also applies, to the extent that it is mandatory.
